Paddle repair/shortening?

Has anyone ever taken a longer paddle and cut it down and or changed the offset of a paddle? What is the best way to do it? Any kits out there?

I have an older Werner with a 75% offset that I'd like to change up. I could make a break apart but would prefer to just reglue it solid using a fitted insert.

Any suggestions on the best way to do it?
