Camping will be packed at the regular sites. I think the city was going to allow camping along the river park corridor this year.....but could be wrong about that, Earl?....
There is camping at Frog/Elephant Rock a couple miles north of town on Colorado ave. There is also a ton of camping up in Fourmile, but I imagine most of the easy stuff will get taken quick. There is also camping up at Railroad Bridge, Miners Camp, and riverside just downstream of #5. There is also a little camping up near the #4 access. If you look for the random dirt roads heading up the hills to the east between Fractions and Numbers there are some site up that way too.
There is a good little bit of camping on the other side of the valley too. Main street in BV turns into Cottonwood Pass if you head west. Once you get up past the hotsprings and Avalanche Gulch there is plenty of creekside dispersed camping (although colder and higher in elevation).
