Pac NW end of September?

Our crew was considering the Gauley, but are now interested in what might be running in the northwest from September 19 thru October 2.

Looks like Skook will be in (2XL) whatever that means.

What else is likely to be in? playboating and creeking? Tatlow?

Also, what's the "bar" scene like in Vancouver?

There are more qualified folks to answer this, so I'll keep it short. In BC, a lot of runs are getting to the lower side now, but I think you'll still be good to go on a few. Some potentials might be: Fear Canyon of the Elaho, Comittment Canyon and possibly the Mine Run on the Ashlu, Thompson, Rogers..maybe. Tatlow will probably be too low by then.

Washington is pretty dry right now except for a 4 mile hike into Thunder Creek. If James sees your post, he can comment on it. I'm looking to head out there in the next couple weeks hopefully.

I can give you the beta, rookie........

I'll bring some video over to your house so you can see what 2XL means......I heard you like Tubesteaks anyway.....

Then we can talk about the Ashlu and Callahan.

levels were tailing off all across BC .. til this weekend, when a heat wave released a bunch of glacial melt & brought things back up. the elaho's back up to diurnal peak at 150 as of today .. meaning .. as of today ..

tatlow prolly came back in for an encore
callaghan prolly bony but scrapeable
upper cheak + "balls to the wall" OK
ashlu box too high
mine run good
fear canyon good 'n juicy
rogers has been done for a couple weeks
upper ryan too high
lower ryan good
lower fraser drainages done, but hellgate is prolly ok
clendenning good 'n juicy

end of september should see the following:

ashlu box may hold thru end of month
if it drops out, then you have the bottom mile (but it's just a mile)
tatlow no way
rogers no way
callaghan only if it rains
daisy lakes section on cheak ok
fear canyon good
upper ryan maybe
upper squamish maybe
middle big silver maybe
a "new one" maybe
hellgate canyon ok

if it rains, everything above changes ..

git sum.
