Owyhee Trip Beta

I am planning a trip down the Owyhee. I am just wondering if anyone had done it and if they can suggest hikes, camps. must does, etc. Thanks in advance

this might help a bit.

Rafting the West | Rivers in Google Earth

punch that in then make sure the camps and points of interest are checked at the top of that window. Maybe you don't need that as it only shows the putins and takeouts for a couple of the stretches on the Owyhee, but I cannot find much else. I am exploring the possibility of getting in there too.

Edit to add: zoom out and look to the west of the Bruneau for access points on the Owyhee.

I'm planning a trip with a launch of May 1st at Duck Valley on the East
Fork. When are you going? I've done a lot of research so maybe we can compare notes. Here is a great site with lots of online maps

yeah, nice to know what part of the owyhee

The resivor is completely full so if you are doing to rome to leslie gulch run you'll need a tow or a very long oar to the take out.

Birch creek is a better option so long as the road is dry.

Thanks for the advice guys. We are going to do the lower (should have mentioned that before) I think we are going to Leslie Gultch but have a motor so the ride out should not be bad.

Matt- Long time no talk to. How are you and Kristen doing? Great to hear from you. We were in Bosie last week and were trying to do the Bruneau but it was just Elizabeth and I and they wanted like $250 for the shuttle (little pricey for just us two). What are you doing in Twin...any plans for the summer. We are in Riggins now but will probably be passing through some time. We should meet up for a beer and discuss a river trip somewhere. Hope you are both doing well.
