Overdue TR: Rattler

Here is the long overdue trip report by Filip Payne, of Rattlesnake Canyon, AZ. Enjoy!

New addition to these types of posts: BETA
-
put in: Where the I-17 crosses it
-take out: the bridge over Dry Beaver Creek (5 miles down stream from Rattlesnakes confluence with Woods)
-Flows the date of run: Snowmelt cycle of 300-800cfs on Dry Beaver Gauge
-portages: 1-2 recommended, none on this run.

that red rock would be fantastic to boat in....such vibrant color!

sounds like a typical HH adventure too

great adventure for sure!

-but about the Red Rock and Coconino Sandstone is some sticky ass stuff...so the boating is paddle as fast as you can to get some speed. Much different than the first coupla layers of Basalt.

Heres another picture straight from the some of the stock film, w/ no color correction. Pretty amazing scenery in there!
