Oregon/Washington Beta?

Question for Northwest boaters.
Looking to take a "spring break" trip to paddle 3/22-3/25. I've been spending more time doing online research for this paddling trip then for my classes. Need to get back to the books for a few more days...then we're off!!!
Looking for class III-V- boating, only going to have one car(rental), and a few days. Would love to do something with some miles(proportion to difficulty), don't want to make the trip for only five miles of water.
Yes, I've done searches. Yes, I've looked at and
Of course AW too. A lot of choices. Is Portland a good city to fly into, for access to Clackamas or other creeks/rivers in area. If Clack too high, are other options close by. Reliable flows this time of year?
Any west coast boaters want to meet up for shuttle? Thanks for any info.-john

Portland is probably the best to fly into, everything is close by. If you are looking for a class V- run that always has water, check out the green truss section of the White Salmon. If you go to the town of Hood River and go to the Kayak Shed they can give you all sorts of info on the local creeks. Also checkout you can meet up with portland boaters there. There will be so many good creeking runs flowing right now that you will shit yourself. If you need to hook up with some local boaters in the Columbia Gorge area let me know.
