North Santiam is fun too. Bruno Mtn. run is 3 with one easy 4 that can be portaged. McKenzie is between Eugene and bend. Ollalie to Paradise is scenic class 3. Paradise to Finn Rock is 2+, not as scenic as there are many houses on the river. Also in the area is Terwilliger hot springs and its definitely worth checking out. 3 tiered pools.

Another scenic run close to Portland in the II+ to III range is Bull Run River to Sandy River and takeout at Oxbow park. You get two rivers in one day and outside of the Sandy Gorge I think this section is the most scenic on the Sandy. Should be running in May.

Hellgate Canyon section of the Rogue is a mellow yet scenic class II float.

Klickitat River in SW Washington has some nice sections too.

Possibly running in May:

Molalla River near Portland is very scenic. The run immediately above the 3 Bears section is not more difficult than class III. 3 Bears section is III+ and only adds about 2-3 miles to the run.

Various sections of the Smith River in Southern Oregon are class II-III.

North Santiam

There are three sections on the N Santiam for what you asked for in your original post I would say Packsaddle park to Mill City. As far as outfitters Welcome To Alder Creek - Alder Creek Kayak - Alder Creek Kayak they have been good in Portland. Eugene I would go to the U of O outdoor store UO Outdoor Program

Have fun in Oregon

North Umpqua if you are south of Eugene. Tons of great day run sections. Soggy Sneakers is a good resource
Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it "guaranteed", I will. I got spare time.

There is a bunch of inaccurate info in this thread in regards to river difficulty and length of runs. Be sure to do your own research on the web or buy a copy of Soggy Sneakers to get more accurate beta.
