oil canning and storage?

I just got a used project 52 and was wondering if is a bad thing that one side, the right, middle is a little indented. It is fairly even and isnt that much of an indent. will this affect my paddling on waves? I should store it on end or upside down right?

I wouldnt worry about it that much. I also have a project 52 that is dented on one of the side walls ( i assume thats what you are talking about). It doesnt seem to affect it at all. I have had 3 projects and the one that is dented seems to surf and perform the same as the others that were not dented. Actually the project that i have now has all sorts of defects in the side, tail, and nose, and i honestly think that it is faster that my other ones, haha. It is a blemished demo boat and it is good to go. if you are really worried about it, you can heat it up and push out the dent, just be carefull not to really mess it up. You should be stoked because the project is the best playboat out there, in my opinon. I have tried every boat i could on a wave and the project is the fastest and loosest boat on a wave and in the hole i have tried. hope that helps. Come surf in Salida sometime and do tricks that others cant do because there boats are too slow,
