Numbers?

I'm heading up to hit the numbers for the first time this weekend and am wondering what boat I should bring at this level. Will a Big EZ be big enough at this level, or should I bring a creeker?

I'm heading down to Salida tomorrow evening. Will you be there to paddle Friday?

Depends on your paddling level. Ran Numbers last weekend (1650cfs) for the first time in a Sub-8, which I am admiditly heavy for. I'd call myself solid class III, happy to run IV. I would have been more comfortable in a large boat to punch holes when I got off line, but had a great run nonetheless. I just had to keep the small boat on edge, agressively forward and constantly turning to stay in control.

You might want to bring the creeker for your first run. Then once you know the lines, take the EZ and wave-wheel through the boogie water.

It's a blast, have fun!
