NSV Gauges

NSV near Allenspark peaked around 220 yesterday afternoon, but NSV above Buttonrock peaked at about 180. Here is the Allenspark gauge Detail Graph
and the Buttonrock gauge Detail Graph

Is the difference in flows due to the diversion dams near the end of the run or is there a calibration issue? Is one gauge more trustworthy than the other? Is the upper gonna be worthy by Sunday?

Thanks,

T

For those who are curious...I may have answered my own question. It looks like the Allenspark gauge is consistently reading higher than the buttonrock gauge (still not 100% sure why).

Last year we did NSV when the buttonrock gauge was 230 and the upper gauge was close to 300. I would call that the low end of worthy (but I've been accused of being a snob). I'll keep monitoring the buttonrock gauge and sticking with the flow parameters outlined in the New Testament.

what is a good resource for looking at these runs? i am wanting to paddle these with you, but don't want to get on something like eldo. is there a book that i could reference?

i'm tired of going to these runs and not being able to paddle, the playpark is getting really old. i have a pretty missile roll now, took some time and lots of ridicule but i am ready for some whitewater.

got a 1st descent in as well, thinks i am ready for something more difficult. nsv or does you have something else you recommends?

Well, in my opinion, this would work much better if he was more over the top. This sh-t's not even remotely funny. Definitely makes one pine for the days of Chunderboy.

My advice would be stop spending so much time on the roll and spend more time studying Borat.
