north fork of colorado river below shadow mtn beta?

I know this is basically never runable, but, in a few weeks they will be draining shadow mtn reservour to control aglae. The 3 mile section from shadow mtn to lake Granby may have enough water to float. Does anyone have any beta on this section??? Tons of fishermen go here, so even if you've only fished it, would it be worth the drive to check it out when they start releasing? Anyone know where I could find stream flow data (usgs doesn't have a gauge for here).
