I grew up floating the Shrewsbury (no joke). It's all Class I with Class V consequences, so you've gotta be on your toes. Drunken jetskiers, motor boats and particularly aggressive seagulls (nasty bites). The camping sucks, but there are some nice hotels and restaurants near Red Bank. If you take the Shrewsbury to it's confluence with the Atlantic, you can buy a stick of Chewleys at the Market where Clerks was filmed. That's probalby what the Colorado couple was up to when disaster struck.
