New wood in Gilman

Folks heading to Gilman gorge on th Eagle...Heads up. There are two new pieces of wood in Slurry Pipe rapid, the last drop on the run. The first is a large timber/rr tie lodged in the eddy river right directly below the bridge and next to the trestle hole. At low water (last night) it was pretty easy to miss, but certainly closed out the eddy. At higher water when you need to drive right into the eddy it will probably be in play.

The second is a tree that has fallen from river right about two thirds of the rapid. You'd have to really blow your line to get on it, but again as the water rises it may become more of a hazard.

Happy paddling

Charlie
