New to creeking
Hey folks, I have been river running/play boating for about 5 years off and on. I progressed quite a bit in the last two years. I live in Bozeman Mt
and am now hoping to get onto some creeks.
So I have a few questions.
Im a big fan of liquid logic and I have been leaning towards the Stomper 80. Possibly the Mamba or Jefe?
Also would you recommend a full face helmet?
Also it seems liked the learning curve is somewhat steep transitioning from rivers to creeks.
Creeks that I know of in the area are Hyalite creek, Quake, The box, and of course Big timber.
I've been watching a lot of POV's of all these creeks... Seen a lot of awesome footage from a paddler named Mike perry, along with a few others.
My next question is are there any creeks on the easier side?
Lower Hyalite doesn't look to rough. I know its pretty shallow and lots of wood. But it seems like there's quite a few eddies.
A guy at the barn told me Big T is alright for beginner creekers below the pinch??
I was surprised to hear that!
Any advice is much appreciated!!
