New to Colorado Springs -

I just moved to Colorado Springs, joy of joys. I'll probably boat the pueblo park a few times a week after work. I'd like to share the drive down there with some people. Let me know if you want to car pool. My work hours are flexible and I'll probably go down around 3 most days.

Also, are there any other after work CO Springs runs. It doesn't look too good, but there must be a little something, a creek coming off the back of pikes peak???

If the water holds, I am thinking of heading down to Pueblo on Wed and yes there are many after work runs. Send me a PM.

After work runs? News to me. Fill me in, too, bro. I guess you could get down to the Gorge if you got off early. Or over to Salida if you didn't mind driving four hours for boating a couple.

As for Poblo, I'll head down a few times a week around three or so, too. Going this afternoon.

Well I guess I should elaborate but as the days get longer and you can leave work by 2pm, you can hit gorge, parkdale, waterton, foxton without too much trouble. Well and deckers as well depending on what you are looking for. Class V really aint my thing yet but I guess you could hit Bailey as well.

Consider joining the Pikes Peak White Water Club. We do a lot of trips. Mostly beginner and intermediate, but a few people do harder. Here's the link to our chat site.

If anyone knows of a creek coming off Pikes Peak let me know. I'm in. The mountain does not seem to get as much snow as it should. I'm not sure why.

check out Grape Creek

I saw some movies of it a long time ago, I dont think it runs very often, and its probably more like a long, expedition style class IV than anything too steep. It drains into the Ark after canyon city, I believe.

If your'e talkin' 'bout Beaver Crk. there was an aborted 1ST d that resulted in helicopter rescue. There may be a lower section that is more reasonable.

Its a moot point, there is basically no snow on the peak.
