The new white water park is going in regardless of weather they get the water rights or not. It will be a serise of play spots from 100 yards above bobs place and 100 yards below. Construction will begin as soon as the can get the equipment through the snow.

The new word on the water park is this. It might not be going in until the upcoming fall. There is too much snow and no contractors are willing to do it through the frozen ground and deep snow. THey would do it in the spring but the water will be too high and too fast for building anyhting. Its unfortunate, but who knows what will end up happening.

just saw plans

Just saw plans at my work for this project. It has 3 features (Baby Bob, Bob jr, Bob sr.). Bob Senior is the existing Bob's wave feature (with channel restriction and a concrete wave stucture). Like you said it starts 200' before the bridge and ends at Bob's wave.
They are also reconstructing the existing "boat ramp (water intake)" off of Hwy 6 at the bridge. Not sure where everyone will park for the revised ramp (maybe they will again allow parking on the gravel shoulder). The existing boat access (boat ramp) along Hurd Lane where all the rafts put-in will be removed. So I hope VA has to figure out something for access at the Hwy 6 water intake/old ramp.
There will also be terraced boulder"viewing area" at Bob Senior wave.

there you have it.
