New paddler in Denver

I'm a new paddler in Denver. I've been rafting for years, but now that I live in Colorado, I want a sport that I can do a more flexibly. I literally live on Confluence Park, which is hear is pretty decent for playboating. Would be interested in meeting up with some people who would have patience with a beginner. I can offer a pretty decent base of operations in return (grilling, beers, and a pool/hot tub). Send me a message!

Hope you are up-to-date on all your shots and vaccines if you are planning on boating around Confluence Park

It's not that bad, as long as you're not in the water during a runoff event

Colorado Whitewater does a lot of cruises oriented towards helping new paddlers get in the water Colorado Whitewater - Events, Filter Plant next weekend is a good one. The group is very patient with new paddlers but also includes people up to class 5. You do need to be a member and contact the cruise leader to let them know where you are at skills-wise.

There is also a regular meetup at Reynold's landing just a bit upstream from you most Mondays, that one usually shows up on Facebook
The Monday paddle is usually 5:30 but they're shifting to 3:30 today, not sure about membership for that one (membership requirement is about the insurance, but also supports a really great group of volunteers doing training, advocacy.)
