Has the recent big snow given us legitimate hope for at least a short New Mexico season?

Looks like there is still a long way to go, maybe all the sites haven't updated yet...

I would have to say NO. Even with the latest snow I think that once it starts to melt it will soak into the parched mountain soil long before it reaches the creeks down low. It looks like we're gonna be heading North this year. Before this storm the only snow on ANY mountain in NM was manmade. Dryest year on record for the last 100 years. Pray for us come fire season.
