New Mexico Mountain Biking

I'm heading down to NM this week for some nordic skiing and hopefully some mountain biking if we can locate some dry desert trails. Anyone know of any good trails in north/central NM...near Albuquerque perhaps?

Nordic skiing? Where? we haven't any snow. That point aside I can offer suggestions in regards to mountain biking. In the Albuquerque area there are many biking trails in and around the foothills of the Sandias. Any local bike shop can provide you with a map of these trails. In the Santa fe area there are again a bunch of various trails that are moderate to expert. The Dale Ball Trail system is just outside town (easy trails but nice), there is an easy fast ride along the RR tracks southeast of town (a desert ride) and there is the Windsor trail from Teseque to the Ski Area (advanced mtn ride). All are cool rides. For more info for Santa fe call Art or Stewart at Ace Mtn Wear and Bike 5059828079 (nice guys and willing to help). In Taos the South boundary is the shit! It's kinda hardcore and may have too much snow, maybe not. Call Taos Mtn Outfitters for info on that (I don't have the number). For easy and quick ride wortht he view in Taos ride the West Rim Trail along the Rio Grande Gorge (Awesome Views!!!!!). I hope this helps.

Thanks Repa for the great MTB info. We are doing the nordic skiing at the Enchanted Forest near Red River. They've got 18" of snow (plenty for nordic) and 90% of their nordic trails are open.
