Hey guys, I'm new to the site but I've been boating for the last 6 years, haven't stepped up to Class V until this season. I've been running a large Burn this summer and I really do love it, but firing up shit every weekend has taken it's toll, and it's time to start looking at a new boat for next season. I've got a hookup where I can get pro-deals on anything from Confluence, and being the poor college student that I am I tend to take advantage of that connection.
I'm looking at either a Mamba Creeker 8.6 or Recon 93 for next year. Just wanted some opinions from those who have paddled or own these boats. I love the Burn for it's agility and responsiveness, but something with a little more volume and a little less edge is what I'm aiming for. I'm 6' 1", 190 lbs with size 12 feet. I'll be mostly running the NF Payette and Lower Mesa Falls locally (among other local runs), with some trips to Hood River now and again, so I would say an equal amount of big water river running and creeking/waterfalls. Again, any first-hand experience would be appreciated! Thanks boys.
