New drop on Alto Alto

Ran Alto Alto last night. Couple of heads up to be aware of.

There is some wood in the middle of the rapid that wraps around behind the railroad tunnel. At current levels it wasn't a hazard but if it doesn't dislodge it could pose a problem at higher flows.

Also, the 2nd to last bridge before the take out has a NEW drop. The land owner called us over when we were about to pass under the bridge and notifyed us that over the winter he did some dredging and added several new rocks to form a make-shift damn. We scouted and ran but still be heads up. It is about a 4-5ft riverwide drop. Adds a little excitement to the end of the run.

Gotta love the early season boatin!
