New Boater - Where Should I Start?

I've posted a few times about lessons and gear advice, thanks for everything. Now i'm looking to get out there and get started. Where should I look to go (I live in Colorado Springs) that is somewhat close enough, worth the drive, and at a beginnner's skill level (but still fun and challenging)? Any good spots for beginners?

Check out ppwc's website. They have had beginner trips all spring and may have more. There is a fairly large group of beginners this year so check it out and hook up with them.
