I am an owner of a mini-me and therefore a fan of the mini-me. I have a Maravia WWII as my multi-day vessel and the mini-me is my "playboat". It lives in the bed of my truck during the season and is always ready to go for those planned and spontaneous decisions to get on the river. Deflated, I can carry it with one hand.
It is completely maxed out with 4 adults in it and in fact there is a good amount of standing water in the boat with that many people. It is a perfect R2-R3 boat plus a day cooler for the barley pops. It is a fun boat and I am sure you couldn't go wrong with a mini-me or an Aire 9.5 SB as far as fun factor goes.
I have a rowing frame for the mini-me but have only used it twice I think. It is just way more fun to paddle raft it, surf waves, get flipped and flip back over with one hand, crawl back in easily, and repeat...
I know there is someone on the Buzz who rowed a mini-me down the Grand so it is a little more versatile than one would think at first glance...
Oh and it is less than half the cost of a new Avon Scout
