Need Help: Looking for 2-3 Day IK Runs

Hi all -

I am looking for some guidance. Just got an tandem IK and want to take the wife out on the water. She does not want to go over Class III. So, what I am looking for is pretty specific. I am looking for places where I can spend 2-3 or even four days on the water in Class II-III, but car camping each night. We would, of course take two cars and bunny hop each morning or evening.

A prefect example of the kind of trip I am talking about is Pumphouse to State Bridge day one, camp at State Bridge overnight, do the car shuttling, and then do State Bridge to Catamount on day two.

I know this is a pretty specific kind of trip, but the tandem IK is the only boat we have right now and I would like to find a way to parlay it into some sort of multi-day trips.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.

BTW - I live in Denver but will drive to Utah, NM, Arizona if the trip is worth it

The lower Ark might work for what your looking for. Launch at Stone Bridge and take out at Pinacle Rock. It is roadside, but there are good places to camp throughout the Bighorn Canyon, and it is class II with a few random III's thrown in.
Camping options include: Salida East, Rincon, Valley Bridge, there is a nice riverside campsite near Cotopaxi, and Texas Creek. All but the riverside site have the option of leaving a vehicle there.

A couple other options might include the White River below Meeker, or the Yampa below Steamboat and above Cross Mountain (but these are both I-II floats).

GARNA’s mission is to foster stewardship of the resources of the greater Arkansas River region through education, volunteerism and experiences.

Payette system by Boise, ID.

There are multiple stretches within 30 minutes of several FS campgrounds.

SF- class I and II and IV
MF- class I or II or III
NF- Class I and III
Main- Class II and III

You could easily spend 5-6 days on a different stretch of class I-III each day.

Bonus- hot springs everywhere.

My itenirary-
stay at hot springs campground
Day 1: arrive in the afternoon run swirly canyon (II) (takeout is the campground)
day 2: get up and run the entire lower MF (III diminishing to class I)
day 3: run main payette (lower main if main looks too scary)
day 4: run cabarton on NF. Gawk at the crazies on the NF class V stretches on the trip up and back.
day 5: Run the main if you skipped it earlier, it is on the way home anyhow and only takes a couple hours.

option b: split the trip and run the upper salmon sections for a while as well.

We did a similar (raft during the day / car-camp at night), trip on the Colorado between Dewey Bridge and Moab.

I've done the trip between Dewey Bridge and Moab, too! It's a good one because you don't really need two cars you can leave one at home and catch a ride with other boaters.

Colorado River. Pumphouse to Dotsero, then spin laps on Shoshone!
Horsethief, Ruby & Westwater are special places, easily explored by IK.
Moab Daily. Dewey Bridge to Potash.
Dolores. Slickrock to Bedrock.
Gunnison. Gunny Gorge. One mile hike to put in. perfect for IK.
Green River. Green River Daily to Canyonlands N.P.
San Juan. Bluff to Clay Hills. Permit Needed.
