Multi-Day Gear List(s)

Hey all,

I am planning a 6 day float on the MF Salmon this year, and it's my first time planning a trip this long. I am creating a spreadsheet of all the gear we will be needing for our group of 15 people down to the very last detail.

Does anyone have a spreadsheet or gear list they use to make sure you are prepared for multi-days? I've got most of the basics covered, but for those of you who have completed several multi-days, I'd love to know what what odds and ends you bring to stay safe, comfortable, and entertained.

I've found the gear lists on the NRS website to be a useful start.

This is a good source:

Rafting Grand Canyon

When I first started, I bought the "River Otter" book. It was a good intro and I liked having a book to read vs a computer screen. It's a bit over the top in uber-organized planning for me, but take what you like and leave the rest. River Otter, Handbook for Trip Planning: Authoritative Guide for Rafters, Kayakers, Canoeists (9780974004600): Maria Eschen: Books

Here is the one I use. This was made specifically for a Grand trip, but I just use what I need for shorter trips.

I have this on Google documents so everyone else involved can view and edit too.

Please do not take any fireworks into the Middle Fork. They are specifically banned out there and we already have a very, very dry year looking down the barrel.

I do have some lists too and can help with MF Salmon logistics planning but no time right now.
PM me if you like, just to remind.

You can check out a What to bring that I got from a friend and posted.

This is on my Middle Fork Wiki site. I started Wikis for my Middle Fork and Grand Canyon trips are wikis. You can check these out at Middle Fork 2010 and Grand Canyon 2011. Feel free to use the Middle Fork wiki for reference. All I request is not to edit it as this is for my trip not all trips.

I haven't really done anything with the Grand Canyon one but the Middle Fork has all my planning in it. Anything that gets decided gets posted.

You can get a domain and hosting for cheap (I think mine was ~$70 for 5 years or something) and put mediawiki on it. Mediawiki is the same software that uses. My hosing company (dreamhost) actually installs it for me and I just have to make changes. Then you or anyone else (you can limit this to people you want) can edit and create pages.
