Moved to Boulder last week...

help! I'm a paddler from the northwest, i moved here thinking my boating season was over, and now there is this crazy rain event. I don't know many paddlers here, nor do i have a job... Where are my kayakers in boulder? what are my resources? are people boating this week as things come back down through runnable flows?

Welcome to Boulder, and the Buzz.

Hopefully flows drop slow enough to be enjoyable. It is still way too high for most mortals. I'd wait for a good wood report along with dropped levels; there are several day wreckers through town as of 9/12.

The gauge in town is not presently accurate. Hopefully it'll get re-calibrated soon. It was reading 1200 and change today; it looked at least double that.

The upper canyon is likely good to go, but the road was still closed earlier this afternoon, and it looked like it could be a while.

What type of water do you like to boat?
