I remember when we did the SJ last year in the spring that the mice were bad then. We didnt have any coming to our tents. But...when we went down to the boats at night they would scatter! We also had some around camp.

Put away all food at night, drain dishtubs etc. Also I would keep dishes etc put away to keep everything clean.

You are absolutely correct. Plus rattlesnakes aren't interested in us or our food anyway. Best to leave them be, unless you need a hat band.

Was on the San Juan last year and I went to get something from my boat in the middle of the night. The mice were jumping from boat to boat. I had some candy out. They left the laffy taffy alone but ate the snickers.

We ran San Juan last week and the Ranger said there was a Rodent problem. We saw evidence that they were on our kitchen tables at night. We only visually saw one.
