"At rafting and boating message board mountainbuzz.com, rafters have suggested using dynamite on Frog Rock or yanking it from the river. Some have encouraged people to go out on their own and drop rocks in the river to plug the sieve."
Didn't they dredge the left side while they had the equipment in there? Maybe they didn't report that to their superiors. Maybe the folks at 9NEWS.com are missing something.
Can anyone post pictures and verify that there was a change to the left channel?
There are already pictures on the Frog Rock Thread and being mentioned on 9news doesn't make mtnbuzz famous. It would appear that from the comments they picked, that it would be infamous anyway.
Officials will add a larger sign warning rafters about Frog Rock's dangerous underwater sieve but will not change the rapid, according to The Colorado Springs Gazette.
is tv more famous than print? scott willoughby is a poster and he does lots of great work for the newspaper. surely that makes us at least a little famous already.....
I agree with what was stated in the article. It represented the facts clearly, and explained what happened and why. As far as I am concerned it was an honest account of the story (except perhaps for the part about the river being restored to it's original condition, per the photos on the Frog Rock thread-they cleaned the left channel some).
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
