Moose River Info

Anyone have a contact in Old Forge, NY? I am heading up there the second week in August, just looking for someone to paddle with. I was hoping to hit the bottom Moose, any info much appreciated.

Hi Ben,

I went to the Moose Fest a few years ago and the folks at Whitewater Challengers were very nice. There are many kayakers who work there so may be able to find someone to paddle with.

Hi Ben,

Chris Koll and his wife Karen live near Syracuse and have a house in Old Forge. Chris is the former AW editor and worked on access issues up that way. He helped get the Fall Moose Fest started etc. Paddled with them a couple of times eight or nine years ago. Nice folks. Look up their number and give them a call. He would probably be glad to give you info/meet up and paddle.
