I did it from north of Woodman to Cimmaron at flood in, I think, '95. It looked like Westwater at 17,000. Waves were 6+ tall. Holes could hide a car in.
HOWEVER, that is the only run in all my years that I will proclaim was disgusting and worthless. Pollution galore, man-made death traps galore (i.e. multiple river wide, cement walled off, wiers, no eddies at flood, steep dirt and concrete debri banks, low bridges with log jams, shopping carts, thrown out appliance, tires, diapers, oil, gas, fertilizer, and SHIT). People at all the bridge crossing were phoning the newspaper to try and race over to take pictures but it was flowing so fast and I had very few places to eddy anf the trip was fast. From the north end of Co Spgs to the south was over in about a half hour. At the cemment side-walled wiers I literaaly had no choice but to aim for sugring high with speed scraping up the walls or center bridge butresses sometimes to get past the death-traps. ... Yeah, you can pass the one up, in my opinion. Head to the Ark.
