Montana - T.M.O.H.

Cool new creekin' up in the Crazy Mnts. of Montana. Good to be back there, even if it was for a quick mission.

How far up from that last smooth slide did you go on Snuggrass? There was'nt any footage of any drops. I've hiked up a ways further and there's good drops if you like 25 cfs creeks. Where is Sweetgrass footage? That run is better than Big Timber and you were hiking from the takeout for it. Snuggrass comes in near the takeout for Sweetgrass. Sweetgrass is bigger than Big T, that's why the locals keep it underground and it's banned from all guidebooks.

Side note re: Snuggrass...

Nice work, fellas. Looked interesting.
When we spoke with the ranch folks at the trailhead regarding this creek a few years ago they were quick to point out that the creek could not be accessed without trespassing on their land, which at that time they were definitely not interested in. This is also the trailhead for another very important area creek run that rivals Big T and is obviously a very important part of the local creek scene. I am assuming you spoke with the ranch folks and had their blessing as the whole hike in is divided like a checkerboard, with sections of public land and private land all the way to the "goods" on the larger creek in that drainage. For the next set of adventurers heading to snuggrass, please also be sure that the mission is approved, as access in that area can quickly become a problem due to the way that land was divided up back in the day between private parties and government entities.(remember two years ago that the Van Cleve family was unhappy with kayakers actions at the Big T access and were considering taking action that could have effectively shut down kayaking due to the fact that mandatory portages and safety set-ups were on private land) Not trying to bust your balls, HH Crew. In fact, I am psyched someone got in there and explored it further. Just want to make sure those coming behind you are aware of the situation in the Crazies and are acting accordingly...

Yup all was good!! - checking in and spoke with the ranchers for the better half of the morning. Turns out we all knew eachother from way back when. And yeah - for future explorers, please take the necessary actions to access the creek(s) near there.

Craporadon- we ended up going to top. Where the river right side trib comes in at the top of the canyon. Sweet dropped out while we were on this one.
