Mexico Whitewater in Nov/Dec???

I'm looking at a two week trip south of the border last week in Nov first week in Dec. I just got the "Gringo's Guide to Mexican Whitewater" and found it a little light. I thinking about the Sierra Madre area (golf side) or even heading down to Veracruz. From what I've read it looks like we will be a couple months into the dry season, anyone have any beta on if I there will be water?

We are looking for anything class III-IV+, so for those that have been I'd love to know suggested runs as well.

Thanks for the help

I think it will be pretty dry

Hola! It's been a long time since my expedition days down there, but I seem to recall that Nov - March is the dry season. That said, though, some stuff you don't want much water in. Sometimes it may seem marginal at the put in, but eventually build to torrents trapped deep between canyon walls and car and house sized boulders. All my trips (FDs of Rios Moctezuma, Mesquital, and Urique) were epic, deep and isolated canyons, 5 and 6 day adventures of as much as 260 miles long. However, I know there is lots of one day trips on the gulf side.

It has been a while for me as well. But there is some good paddling on the pacific side as well. In Huatulco, in the state of Oaxaca, check into that as well. Little known but some great whitewater. Should be good water during the times you are planning on being there.
