Lyons is Running for Class II Paddlers

Just a heads up to you anyone who want to get out and do some paddling on Class II. EddyFlower has the flows listed as "Too Low", but at 147 cfs which it is currently reading it is a great level for the Whitewater Park to the Black Bear Hole ( 1 mile and 12 drops). I have paddled down from the Park to the BB Hole as low as 65 cfs. Keep you eye open for wood.

You could even piece together a lower north st vrain run as well. I actually did it yesterday and has a blast.

You can head to the west end of town and park in Meadow park. Walk to the Back right corner of the park and put in there..........It's the most upstream portion of the park. Take it all the way to O-hole.
Go Dawgs!!!

When the flow is above 135 cfs, which is right now, you can add another 3 miles to the run by putting in at the Apple "Valley" Bridge (CLass II)
and take out at the October Hole. The bridge is a wooden arched bridge about 3 miles on RT 36 heading to Estes Park from Lyons. I would guess that would be around 4.5 mile.
