The Pikes Peak Whitewater Club is hosting a premiere of an advance copy of LVM #20 the "Daniel" issue, with a tribute to Daniel DeLaVergne on Thursday Sept 14 6:30 pm at Southside Johnny's in Colorado Springs. There is no charge for admission, but patronizing Southside Johnny's that evening is a good way to keep furture premieres free. Food and drinks are available in the room we have reserved.
Daniel, a co-founder of LVM and one of the top expedition kayakers in the world, died tragically in an accident this March. This issue is a special tribute to his life and times assembled by John Grace. This is a special premiere, so we have arranged for some extras.
Jed Selby and Andre Spino Smith will introduce the issue, tell some Daniel stories from back in the day, and give an update of progress on the Buena Vista playpark feature construction. Jed and Andre each knew Daniel well and have been extensively featured in LVM over the years.
We will have a special drawing at the premiere for an IR X Jacket. This is IR's top of the line drytop. To be entered in the drawing, you simply need to subscribe to LVM either online or at the premiere. If you subscribe online, send me your confirmation code # at
