Lower Taos Box

Nex Sunday (5/15) we are considering running Lower Taos Box and we have someone in our group running a 14' cataraft w/ an oar frame. Looking for general feedback on this section (the rivers and creeks book makes it sound pretty straightforward, but I've heard some conflicting reports).
Thanks, CC

In my opinion, it boats easier than it looks. It is definition pool drop. If you don't know it, scout the horizon lines and you should be okay. As far as difficulty, not much harder than Brown's Canyon or Mishawaka on the Poudre. I think it seems harder first time down, then once you know it, it isn't very difficult.
