Lower Blue changes thru day Nov. 30
Recreators planning to visit the lower Blue River below Green Mountain Dam on Wednesday, November 30, should be aware of fluctuating flows.
Beginning around 9:30 a.m., Reclamation staff will be performing operational tests on gate equipment controlling releases from the dam to the river. As part of the tests, the gates will be opened and closed, which will raise and lower the releases from the dam. A warning horn will sound before each change. Flows in the river are anticipated to fluctuate between 50 and 250 cfs.
The testing will go on through the morning and into the afternoon. Visitors to the area should be aware and watch for changing flows.
