Well, I've been wrong on two accounts today.
First, the information I received about the cfs in the Lower Blue had a typo. We are releasing about 750 cfs, not 650 cfs. Anyone reading the gage probably caught my error.
Second, because I hazarded (is that a word?) a guess, the weather is out to prove me wrong! Today, we saw snow melt inflow drop for the first time this run-off season. We are not making any changes yet, but don't be suprised if that prediction I gave of staying at the current release rate through the weekend turns out to not be true.
Also, even though we are currently not changing our release rate, we are switching HOW we're releasing the water. Tomorrow we will switch from releasing through the powerplant to releasing over the spillway. Sounds like we're about ready to begin work on that gate replacement.
I'm out all day tomorrow, but will have an update on e-mail on Thursday. Call my cell if you have questions: (970) 215-9545.
