Lost Paddle on Bear Creek at 12 noon Sunday

I lost my paddle today on Bear Creek. It is a Werner Sidekick (black shaft with white blades). At the time I lost it, it had two Mountainsurf poggies on it as well. My contact info was on it and is as follows:

Mike French
212 Wright St #101
Lakewood, CO 80228

Home 303-256-4921
Cell 303-947-2485

I lost it probably 1/4 to 1/2 mile above the takeout at Bear Creek Park. I tried to catch an eddy and flushed out the back and got pinned on some wood. I was holding myself upright with my arm and paddle was in hand
on the bottom of the river. When my buddies pulled me off the wood, I lost balance and the current ripped the paddle from my hand. It really was a stupid little bull$hit deal as I was below all the rapids at that point.

The exact location I lost the paddle was shortly after the 4 to 5 foot boof that you have to run left in the section where it canyons up, just a little ways below the dam. I made it thru the boof and canyon section and was just going for an eddy after that. Again probably no more than 1/2 to 1/4 of a mile before the takout. I checked below the run at the dam strainers and didn't see anything. My sense is that the paddle pinned somewhere before the takout.

But I greatly appreciate if people keep a heads up for it. Thanks in advance.
