It was about 50 cfs higher and really fun. I was actually having a really good run, and then I casually turned sideways to look back and signal to Mark that Screaming Quarter mile was just around the bend. A rock then tripped me up, and I had three pretty good roll attempts, but it seemed like I had bad timing because I'd get halfway up and then a wave would smack the bottom of my boat and I'd be back down. I should have hit the 4th roll attempt, as I was in the calmer water above the eddy, but by that time I was getting a little anxious. I decided to swim and try to get into the eddy, but I missed it. Then I went through the first drop (and under), and was quickly getting pushed to the second. So I decided to yardsale and get the heck out of there. Then I ran after my boat along the road/trail for about 15 minutes until I finally wrestled it to shore. Couldn't find my paddle, though, despite 2.5 hours of bushwhacking. Lesson of the day: keep your boat pointed downriver.
