Gore Race
Hi Matt,
Basically what we need is people who can train 3-4 days a week - but you can do most of the workouts at your local gym. Winning at Gore is all about fitness. I will be providing training info and workouts. In addition to this we will get together to paddle and probably race at Teva, FIBArk, and maybe some other places leading up to Gore. Teva is quite short compared to Gore - but it is similar to the sprint that is at the World Championships (head to head or three boat heats over a short course). There won't be a lot of group practices, but we will get together on Clear Creek and the Poudre as they are the closest things to Boulder/Denver. We will also do some practice runs on each race course. There will probably also be a couple of flat water practices where we can easily time ourselves and work on technique in a controlled environment (ie no changes in water flow, fixed length courses, ability to turn around and do it again) and so we can evaluate progress.
Where are you living?
