looking for peopel to paddle with, bay area

Hello I am looking for some people to hook up with and paddle. I just moved to Alameda, Ca. so if you are in the bay area and know of some peple that I can tag along with. I have not worked my way to running class IV+ yet. I can comfortably run a III to lower IV. I also like to do some playboating. Thank you.

I spend a couple weeks a summer in the bay area and have never found anyone to paddle with or anything decent with water, except surfing of course. It seems like all the decent looking streambeds I have seen in the area are usually dry and would only run when rainfed (i.e. midwinter), if at all. Admittedly, I do not know squat about paddling in California and have never tried hard enough to find anything in that area as I am always there for other reasons. I'd be interested in any people and beta you discover.

Definately a lack of gurus. I am willing to travel to the american and other rivers within a couple hours. I would like to meet some people that know the rivers around here.
