Looking for Helmet Reccomendations

I am looking for some helmet reccomendations.

We're new paddlers, and won't be doing anything too advanced (of course being new paddlers we may be spending more time upside down ).

We're not looking for top of the line - something that protects well, and comfortable.

Wrsi seems to have come out on top as the cheap beginner helmet. Basically hitting the old pro tec market with a safer superior product. Word to the wisef all the equpment your buying, don't buy a used helmet. Go new. Your' helmet should be warantied for 1 year.
Have fun.

Helmet recommendation

The WRSI is a nice entry level helmet, but it comes in only one shell size. So basically you add, or remove, padding to get the right fit. For someone like me, with a small head (everything else is fine, thank you) the WRSI just didn't work.

I searched high and low for the right lid and I ended up buying a Voz. I've been very happy with it. I'm not into all the marketing stuff they have with all their matching products - bags, glasses, etc.- but the helmet is very nice.

Go with Sweet or Shred Ready, both make quality stuff.

Voz helmets never seem to fit right. I've even seen their team members having trouble getting them to fit properly.

Just don't let the price tag decide which helmet you go with. You only get one noggin. Try them on and get the one that fits.
I hope in the future Americans are thought of as a warlike, vicious people, because I bet a lot of high schools would pick "Americans" as their mascot. -Jack Handy
