Looking for a good beginner run on ARK near Salida.

Johnson Village to Fishermans Bridge. Big Bend to Salida. Salida to Rincon. Rincon to Valley Bridge. Valley Bridge to Cotopaxi. All good beginner options. Call CKS for details

Pick up a copy of the Colo Rivers and Creeks II. There are some rapids in some of those sections listed above, and you should be aware of them. Rincon to Vallie for example.

Yeah, check the book. Don't forget Cottonwood rapid between Vallie and Cotopaxi... not beginner stuff.
