It is awesome for class 3/4 river running. I use the trigger, Lil Joe, and Hoss for my kayak program and the beginners love them and when we run harder stuff with the advanced kids those are the boats they reach for first. I personally use a Hoss when I go to Gore and such runs. I find it easy to transfer from the play boat and has great first and secondary stability. It also spins well at South Canyon when the flows are below 3000.

It actually does spin well on a big wave. Very stable, very roomy. Its not gonna get vertical but then again I am sure there is someone out there that could loop it after the videos I have seen lately. I also like the diesel as well for river running.

Hoss is great for III-IV rivers and can even be great for light creeking. I went on a trip to Chile and paddled it on a variety of rivers and creeks and was much happier in the Hoss than in the Diesel or Huck. It is fast downriver and carves into/out of eddies great. Pleanty of stern storage. It can loop in a big hole, but for play/river runner logic's new boat is the cross river, due out next spring and will play much better. I think CKS has some discounted Hoss' for sale.
