For those of you wondering about 1st gorge here's the deal.

There's still a lot of snow on the road especially at the beginning. It'll take at least a week or two to melt. Most of the road is clear but where there is snow, its up to a foot and a half deep and mushy.

The later in the day, the higher the flows will be. It was the biggest I've ever seen it today. 78% cacao dark chocolate. 2' wave train at the put in. The boof at the top of adrenaline was washed out on both sides and barely a hole at all. The hole at the bottom was stompy.

Also there is a new log above that mini gorge above adrenaline that is a MANDATORY portage. And as usual, the willows were sketchy.

We hiked out at adrenaline because we couldn't get a car to the take out and the gorge proper would be juicin.

If you want it, you should probably put on before or around noon and you'll probably end up hiking the shuttle.

All in all...probably best to wait...
