At 11 last night it was just below what I'd consider a low level. I'd have to agree with Joe that once the sun comes out today it should be good to go...at least if you don't mind it a bit bony. It's totally clear & sunny this morning so you guys should have fun this afternoon.
Ok, we were up there again, and it doesn't look like it changed from yesterday. Maybe later tonight it will. It's IV, few eddies and may have some trees in there. Be very cautious if the water comes up and you go. Just drive up left hand canyon road until you see the gradient. There's another rapid higher up. It's maybe 5 miles from 36.
We drove up today and thought it was boney, however a crew of 3 did run it. Did not notice any signifigant wood, but did spot 2 newpaper stands that looked boofable. We are going to drive up tomorrow afternoon and see what it looks like around 2ish.
We ran it yesterday with a crew of about 8. No major hazzards. After the culvert (clear of wood) the meat is straight forward. Between the two steep sections there is a drop that is super boney and pin potential. The left slot of the drop ran clean. Note the two newspaper stands toward the end and at the take out a boney dam type drop. Take out before it river right. Fun but boney.
we ran it today. if you're wondering if you should hit this run or not...in my opinion the answer is no - it's too friggin low right now. "boney" is an understatement. we only ran the two "steep" sections, below the culvert.
i'll admit it was still fun, but i'd highly recommend waiting for more water.
