Fence Issues!

Please check the alerts section here on the buzz, and the pictures in the "creeks" album of some fences upstream of Red Bridge.

CWWA is checking into this issue, as one of the board members was alerted to this last weekend. If any locals have information about how long the new sign has been in place, or how long the fence has been up, please pass it along to me at safety"at"coloradowhitewater.org.

Thanks in advance, and safe boating.

Put in at red bridge. The upper stuff is easy class II anyway. Dont bother. It is private the whole way and the owners are watching. Beautiful run but the lower stuff is the goods.

Red Bridge to gate view. About 5 miles. Dirt road the whole way so easy rescues/portages/scouts. CRC calls the first rapid Peanutbutter falls. Really it is Suprise. Lots of fun great crease easy roll up after if needed. Next is rattle snake. Technical could be class IV. Very long entrance and long run out. Do not swim! It will hurt! Easy portage if needed. Crux is at the s turn and through the snake eyes. Next is Pin ball. No problem. Stay away fron undercut on left. Lastly is Lunch box. Fun and easy right past the parking lot/takeout.

It is a beautiful usually uncrowded canyon. Some camping. Go down there and run it twice. There is some great play so bring a boat that will surf and squirt.

Didn't even look at the upper section but the lower is clean.

Best above 420 cfs. Ran it last weekend when it was 1100. Lots of fun! It has come down quick after our cold spell but should make a return. Dont plan it lasting long though. mid june if your lucky.

Great run. One of my favorites. It is road side, easily scouted, technical in spots, and not much room for error. The rapids are definitive with good rest in between. This run has improved my boating.

well worth checking out, hensons is up that way
