Lake Creek = new paralyzer log!

The ark is getting lower so a group headed out to see how Lake Creek faired during the high water of 06’.

We got in a run up there before run off and everything was runable but a ton of trees were watin to take the run as well! Highlight of the early season were Bill Jones solo of the upper at over 1000 to Pat Keller’s run of the middle line in paralyzer at about 1000 cfs.

Last night the gauge read 3.7 to 4.0 or just over 500 cfs. Let’s just say I am happy that we got up there pre-runoff, before the trees came down. Because wood has moved around!

There is a new large log in the top of NIMBY that makes 1st eddie impossible to catch – a run is possible but would have to be top to the bottom 1/3 before a eddie is available. There is no log in the right channel at the bottom so the boof is there!

A ton of wood has gathered around the 1st campground above brains – you can still get around it but some are river wide strainers that one would not want to go into. Also the eddie you catch right above brains has a log in it - so as of today it is not avaliable.

The log in Brains is no longer there – it moved down to the paralyzer and this log will have to be removed before either the right or left line is possible. Shit two years in a row now with a log in the paralyzer! This one looks a bit easier to get out than last years but who knows.

Between the paralyzer and the caldron a log slipped down and it will be hard to duck until the water comes down a bit more.

Caldron is clean and good to go.

A group is goin up to see how hard that log in the paralyzer is to get out but as of now you cannot run the paralyzer! It is fair to say this is the most wood there has been on this run in the past 5 or so years. It is still a great run but if you are commin up to check her out - know that logs are part of the run this year.
