all 'yall is nuts. i just drove up 24 and my car tempometer registered 14 in granite. that's cold. and it's been cold for well over a week with a spell at the begining of -15. find a couloir up high on a hill and make some turns cause the boating ain't no good anyway.
anyone with a good visual? *******? Menges? Dave, from the graph, it looks like it was going all last week. Nate, yea - 250-400 is good flows. I can go if we get a visual

The ark is iced over right behind my house here in BV - didnt melt at all over the last few days. The lake is not frozen - it will be in a couple of weeks.
I have to go to leadville tonight so I can take a look - I bet ice dams are to blame for the high flows but if they are relly pumpin that much the water out of the tunnel the "tunnel" water should be warm enough to melt the ice in the channel but there will be 18" or so of snow up at the put in.
Maybe it is real? A x-mass run of lake would be a hell of a story
that's what I was thinking....could be possible. Tell me what you see - I could be there tomorrow around noon. Chris you in?
