Kayaking saturday afternoon

I'm new to town and looking to go kayaking. Unfortunately i am tied up until about 12:30 on Saturday but could go after that. What's good right now? Shashone, low run on Gore or might that be too far to do in 3 hrs for a first run? I'm open to suggestions.

Thanks,

Jason

those are both a bit far for leaving that late, especially Gore.

I was trying to drum up interest in South Boulder Creek. This morning it was in the mid 200's. It's a fun run, mostly class III+ with some IV and a couple of V's thrown in for good measure. Everything is easily scouted and or portaged.

Anyone?

SBC Saturday?

I'd be interested in hitting it up if some people are going. How is it around 200? I'll be coming from DT Denver.

I'm in for 2pm. Where do you meet? A discription I can find on a map is helpful. What is the section on the AW page called?

I'm down to run it. I've never done it this low either...can you even float to the takeout, or is there an alternate before the diversion?

Call me if you decide to go.

I have done it almost this low, but never when the post-damn was this low. The damn will be unrunnable and I guess walking out from there would be necessary. That kind of blows but if others are doing it, then I probably will also.

Best place to meet would be the little gas station on 93 where the little road heads off down to Eldorado Springs.
